How to read this list
- From price is the lowest starting price the builder has published for that community. Corner lots, end units, larger plans and upgrades cost more. Lot premiums are common on townhomes backing onto parks or ponds.
- Status tells you how close the community is to selling. “Registration” means the builder is collecting names before release; “Launching soon” means a date is set; “Now selling” means you can buy today.
- Checked is the date we last compared the price against the builder’s website. Builders change prices without notice, especially around launch events.
What a Mississauga townhome costs beyond the sticker price
Budget for the deposit schedule (most builders ask 15 to 20 percent over 12 to 24 months), HST where it applies, the Ontario land transfer tax, lawyer fees, development charge adjustments and the Tarion enrolment fee. Our calculators cover mortgage payments, land transfer tax and the HST new housing rebate. Freehold townhomes have no condo fee; condo townhomes and stacked towns carry a monthly fee that covers common elements.
Townhome types you will see in Mississauga
- Freehold traditional townhomes: you own the lot, usually two or three storeys with a garage. Often the most expensive townhome type.
- Rear-lane townhomes: the garage is behind the home, off a laneway, so the street side is all front porch and windows.
- Stacked and back-to-back towns: two or more homes share walls front and back or sit one above another. Usually the cheapest way into a new townhome, with a condo fee.
- Urban towns: compact stacked towns near transit, often priced like condos.
In Mississauga the lowest townhome prices are usually stacked and urban towns in Churchill Meadows, Erin Mills and along the Hurontario LRT, while freehold towns in Lakeview, Port Credit and Streetsville sit higher.

Questions buyers ask
Why is a townhome on this list cheaper than resale townhomes in Mississauga?
Starting prices usually apply to the smallest plan on an interior lot, and you pay in stages over the build. Compare the finished size, the closing date and the fees before comparing the price.
Is the price on this page the final price?
No. It is the builder’s published starting price on the date shown. The final price depends on the plan, lot, upgrades and any incentive running at the time you sign.
Do I pay HST on a new townhome?
HST applies to new homes. If you will live in the home as your principal residence, the price the builder quotes usually includes HST net of the rebate, which the builder claims on your behalf. Investors pay the HST and apply for the rental rebate after closing. Confirm with your lawyer.
When can I move in?
Each project page shows the builder’s occupancy estimate. Townhomes typically close 18 to 36 months after you sign, and dates can move under the Tarion delayed-closing rules.
How do I check the builder?
Look up any builder in the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) Ontario Builder Directory before you sign. Every new home in Ontario is covered by the Tarion warranty.
